Blood Drive

The next opportunity to donate will be posted here when it is scheduled. There continues to be a national shortage! There are other blood drives scheduled in town that can be found by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting RedCrossBlood.org

The Outreach Committee began considering hosting Blood Donation Drives just prior to the start of the pandemic in 2020. At that time, however, the church was closed and that plan had to be put on hold until 2021. In partnership with the Northern Massachusetts Red Cross, Aldersgate hosted our first Blood Drive on September 10, 2021. To date our drives have collected an average of 33 units of blood each. We plan to host between 2-4 drives annually. The Outreach committee provides volunteers to work with the Red Cross staff during the drive. Please ask about volunteering to help. Volunteers are needed to greet and check in donors and manage the refreshment area that donors visit after their donation is complete.
