    Thanks to all the volunteers and donors that  participated in the Blood Drives over the summer.

    The next opportunity to donate is February 22, 2025, 9 am – 2 pm.

    There will be another opportunity on March 15, 2025
    There continues to be a national shortage! There are other blood drives scheduled in town that can be found by  calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting RedCrossBlood.org

    The Outreach Committee began considering hosting Blood Donation Drives just prior to the start of the pandemic in 2020.  At that time, however, the church was closed and that plan had to be put on hold until 2021.  In partnership with the Northern Massachusetts Red Cross, Aldersgate hosted our first Blood Drive on September 10, 2021.  To date our drives have  collected an average of 33 units of blood each with a total of over 500 pints collected as of 12/31/2024.   We plan to host between 2-4 drives annually.   The Outreach committee provides volunteers to work with the Red Cross staff during the drive. Please ask about volunteering to help. Volunteers are needed to greet and check in donors and manage the refreshment area that donors visit after their donation is complete.
