Pastor Bob Jon

I have been appointed to Aldersgate UMC since July 2022. I feel privileged to serve such an amazing congregation committed to worship, education, and service. I was born and raised as a pastor’s kid in South Korea. I came to Boston in 2004 and received M.Div. and Ph.D. in Practical Theology and Preaching from Boston University. My ministerial passion is to equip people as disciples of Christ empowered to proclaim the good news of Christ and serve their neighbors.

I love playing basketball and am a big Celtics fan. I enjoy playing the piano and guitar and often play them during worship on Sundays. I also write occasionally on my personal blog, “rainofgrace.net.” No matter where you find yourself in your spiritual journey, I am willing to walk with you, affirm the love of God for you, and serve you.
