Cheryl Ortolf

Director of Christian Education

I grew up in the Buffalo New York area, met my husband and we moved to Massachusetts in 1981. We have three grown children that live in the New England area. Yes, I am still a Buffalo Bills fan over all these years!

I have always had a passion working with children. In the past I have worked as a childcare worker, worked in an orphanage for special need children, and volunteered at school in many different capacities.

My family and I have been blessed to be part of the Aldersgate family since 1985. I became active immediately by helping with various committees and stepped up to be church school superintendent for 13 years. I interviewed for the position I currently hold 22 years ago and have been blessed by all the children and youth that have been part of our church family.

From day one, the children and youth have always been the most important mission for me to focus on. I continue to be blessed with all their talents and words and see “God” in each one of them. I understand the importance of helping them understand that God loves them and will always be with them in their lives. As I say in worship each Sunday, you are an important part of God’s family and our church family!
